titletemplate fernandez

This is an example of an overlay title that was made from a template, which means the title is going over the video when it plays, but it was made from a template so there is a certain theme or design in the title. You might use this kind of title when you want to make the titles all exactly them same, using a template is the best way to make sure everything is consistent.

This is an example of an lower third title with a box around it, which means the title is going over the video when it plays but is inside a box so it is easier to see. You might use this kind of title when the background of the clip makes it hard to read your title.

I learned how to delete clips, ripple edits, lift, and extract fast and easily. We extracted the clip this way because it was made the most sense and flowed a little better.I hoped to make the video kind of flow, because the clips were really choppy.

A simple cut in the timeline means taking out a clip in the timeline. When you cut, the other clips in the timeline leave a space where the cut clip was. A ripple edit is when you delete a clip and shift the remaining clips over to fill in the space. You do this by right clicking and selecting ripple edit. When you ripple delete, the other clips to the right of the deleted clip shift over to fill in the space. Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut clips from the video at one time. To do this, you set an in point and out point and use the insert or extracting tool to take out the clip you selected.
Lifting is like inserting, while extracting is like overlaying, in terms of what happens to the other clips in the timeline.
This is an example of an ripple edit. I decided to extract the two clips where I did because to me it made the video less choppy.

Overlay Workshop Video

This is an example of an overlay edit. An overlay edit places a clip over another clip. To do this, you drag the overlay clip into the original clip. I decided to overlay the 2nd clip where I did because I thought thiws was the best place to put it.

The difference between an overlay and an insert edit is and overlay goes over the orginal clip and an insert does not. You would use an overlay when you want to insert something over your orginal clip. You’d use an insert edit when you want to put another clip into your orginal clip. In this case the insert edit works better because you do not take out any of your original clip when you put it in.

Insert workshop Video

This is an example of an insert edit. An insert edit places a clip_inside another clip without overlaping it. To do this, you separate your main clip and place the insert clip between it. I decided to insert the 2nd clip where I did because I thought it was the best place for the insert clip.
